This is a skill for characters who take the Medic Pathway. The Medic skill is used to treat less severe injuries; splinting broken bones, sewing up flesh wounds, and so on. This skill is used to raise a characters hits from 0 into positive numbers, and as such is could increase a characters hits from 0 to 1, or from 1 to 2, etc. The skill requires a minimum of 5 minutes of appropriate role-play, after which a bead is pulled from a bag in the presence of a ref.
